"Save Illinois MAP" Student Coalition

Thank you visiting!

WHO WE ARE: We are a collection of students that respresent various levels of leadership across institutions in the State of Illinois.  We are ferverently working to raise the consciousness of our State Government to keep $350 million in MAP funding that is critical for Illinois' neediest students to continue their education.  Additionally, we ask that the General Assembly and the Governor to maintain currently funding levels for public univerisities and colleges as well as community colleges.

MISSION: Engage the community and lawmakers about the impact of cutting higher education funding.  This list includes funding for private institutions and MAP grant funding for the neediest students of the state.

STRATEGY: We are working to raise awareness about the cuts to the MAP through media outlets, and outreach to other constituency groups within colleges and universities, especially those with no information about the cuts to the MAP grant.

This is our own space to organize our efforts and keep all of our members informed while giving everyone access to contribute.

Don't Forget to Visit saveillinoismapgrants.org! The Illinois Student Assistance Commission has provided various resources for us to tell our story!
